JIM COLVILLE
Jim is the founder of Jim Colville Crop Insurance. He entered the crop insurance industry more than four decades ago when he began as a hail adjuster. He has also been a long-time high school economics teacher, high school football and wrestling coach, and college football coach. Jim has farmed in the past and his father owned a farm implement business in Ohio. A background in farming, economics and teaching has served his farmers well. Jim has raised three sons with his wife, Carol, and resides in Clare, Michigan. Jim has a degree in Social Studies from Manchester College and a Master in Education from Central Michigan University.
JC COLVILLE
J.C. has been with Jim Colville Crop Insurance since 1994. Prior to this time he spent 6 years in traditional insurance, where he won numerous service and sales awards. J.C. spends his free time officiating high school and college baseball and basketball. He lives in Harrison, Michigan with his wife, Bambi, and his children. J.C. has a degree in Business from Northwood University.
DAVID COLVILLE
David has been with Jim Colville Crop Insurance since 2003. Prior to this time he spent more than a decade in the financial industry. One of David’s responsibilities was to speak before hundreds of people and educate them on the financial markets. His familiarity with the futures markets helps farmers choose an insurance product that protects their farming operations and maximizes their marketing plans. A graduate of West Virginia University, David and his wife Angela split their time between St. Petersburg, Florida and Michiana (Southern Michigan/Northern Indiana).
SCOTT COLVILLE
Scott has been with Jim Colville Crop Insurance since 2005. He worked part time for the agency until joining in a full-time capacity in 2010. He has been a residential appraiser for the past 13 years. Prior to this time he spent 15 years in the banking industry as a branch manager and officer. He graduated from Northwood University with a bacherlor's degree in accounting. Scott has three sons and lives in Spring Lake, Michigan, where he enjoys golf and coaching basketball.
JAMES RYAN COLVILLE
Ryan is the newest member of the Jim Colville Crop Insurance team, having recently graduated from the University of Michigan with degrees in Economics and Communications. The son of J.C. Colville, Ryan represents the third generation of Colville men to join the already experienced company. He is currently working with his grandfather Jim. Ryan enjoys the outdoors, runs frequently, and umpires high school baseball.
